Warcraft movie explained

Humans and orcs have been at war in the region of Middle Earth for ages. Because he and his wife Draka (Anna Galvin) are expecting their first child, Durotan (Toby Kebbell), the chieftain of his Frostwolf orc clan, wants to leave the life of war. The Horde is formed by the clans of orcs. The evil orc warlock Gul'dan (Daniel Wu) intends to lead The Horde into the realm of Azeroth because their home, Draenor, is on the verge of destruction. Gul'dan employs fel, a sinister kind of magic made from death. He brings The Gate a number of caged Draenei prisoners that he has captured. Garona, a Paula Patton character who is half human and half orc, passes by some prisoners while chained up and begs her to release them even though she has no power to do so. Gul'dan opens the portal to Azeroth after depleting the life force of the Draenei. Draka hides her pregnant belly as the orcs charge through. Draka feels pain when they arrive. The other orcs find out that he is expecting a child and reprimand Durotan for allowing her to pass through in such a condition. Birthing has begun for her. With the assistance of Gul'dan, Draka gives birth to an orc boy who is stillborn. To give the boy life, Gul'dan absorbs the life force of a nearby deer. He introduces Durotan's son to The Horde as a fresh warrior. In Ironforge, King Magni Bronzebeard (Michael Adamthwaite) meets with Commander Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel), and gives him a boomstick. After a garrison has been attacked, Lothar is then requested to travel to the kingdom of Stormwind. When Lothar visits Stormwind, he meets Khadgar, a mage who was caught looking at the bodies (Ben Schnetzer). One man's body is discovered, and it emits green smoke from the mouth, indicating that he was killed by fel magic. King Llane Wrynn (Dominic Cooper), Lothar, and Khadgar meet. They are directed to travel to Karazhan to meet with the Guardian Medivh (Ben Foster).Medivh is discovered by Lothar and Khadgar creating a massive clay Golem. Khadgar enters Medivh's library and notices a dark, shadowy figure lurking as Lothar explains the situation to Medivh. Khadgar is drawn to a specific book by the strength of the figure. Khadgar is pinned against the wall by Medivh with the help of his magic as he goes to pick it up, and then Medivh appears and drops Khadgar. As a scouting team enters the forest to look into the fel magic, Medivh follows Lothar and Khadgar. A group of orcs attack them and begin to beat the humans, but Lothar manages to kill quite a few of them. The green-skinned orcs are killed by a spell cast by Medivh, but Durotan, his friend Orgrim Doomhammer , and the belligerent Blackhand are unaffected. Blackhand approaches Lothar, but Lothar blocks his attack. boomstick in his hand. The remaining orcs make their way outside. Even though he is still in chains, Durotan passes Garona on a horse. He swings an axe to cut her chain and set her free. She is captured by the humans because Khadgar is able to hold her down with his magic. The castle of Llane receives Garona. She explains that the orc army is approaching this world and that her homeworld is not depicted on the map of Azeroth. She is then imprisoned, but Queen Taria (Ruth Negga), Llane's wife and Lothar's sister, provides her with food and comfort. Taria claims there would be no honor among her people if Garona were to kill her, despite Garona's belief that doing so would increase the orcs' honor. Gul'dan accuses Blackhand of being weak for fleeing the humans and allowing his men to perish as he stands before him. Durotan steps in to stop Gul'dan from putting Blackhand to death by telling him that Medivh was using the fel against them, despite Gul'dan's claims that only he has the power to control the fel.As they observe the orc camps, Durotan and Orgrim sit side by side. Durotan believes that Gul'dan's magic is what caused Dreanor to deteriorate, and that if he keeps using it, Azeroth will also perish. Durotan wants to stop Gul'dan, but Orgrim believes they must remain loyal to their people. Garona is set free by Llane on the condition that she remain devoted to Stormwind. She leads Lothar's son Callan Llane, and others under Lothar's command to a meeting with the Frostwolf family. Taria provides Garona with a tiny dagger so she can defend herself. To end the fighting and kill Gul'dan, the orcs and humans convene. Garona provides translation for Llane and Lothar as Durotan steps forward to speak. They are then ambushed by Gul'dan-supporting green orcs, Blackhand, and his allies. Along with Durotan and his clan, the evil orcs engage in combat with the humans. Callan is left outside while Medivh divides the humans and orcs behind a barrier. Neither Lothar nor Callan are able to break through the barrier. Blackhand impales Callan and throws his body in the direction of his father while using a new claw hand. Weakening of Medivh. He is returned to his residence and dropped into his mana pool. Khadgar notices that Medivh's eyes are glowing green, indicating that he has been exposed to fel magic. Khadgar also discovers from the book he took from Medivh's library that Gul'dan might have had assistance from someone in Azeroth in opening the portal. In the meantime, Medivh teleports Garona back to Stormwind as Khadgar leaves to look for assistance. Lothar is discovered by Garona in a room, wasted and lamenting the loss of Callan. She approaches his side to reassure him. Lothar claims that he has lost faith in Medivh. When Orgrim speaks to Gul'dan, the latter is aware that Durotan has chosen to side with The Horde, imprisoning him while Blackhand destroys the Frostwolf family. Orgrim has the opportunity to absorb fel magic from Gul'dan in order to grow stronger as an orc. Khadgar travels to Dalaran on a griffon above the clouds. He meets with the other senior mages, all of whom are angry with Khadgar for abandoning them so long ago. He informs the magi that Medivh has become corrupted and that fel magic is spreading throughout Azeroth. Alodi, a senior guardian and the mysterious figure from Medivh's library, is introduced to Khadgar by Glenn Close. She went looking for Khadgar on purpose to call him. Medivh has allegedly been battling a demonic force for some time, but Alodi claims that he has since caved in and allowed the fel to corrupt him. Moroes (Callum Keith Rennie) assists Medivh in entering his pool. The power of the fel causes the pool to glow green. Moroes begins to change into an orc-like creature after Medivh absorbs his life force. Llane convenes a gathering to bring the Alliance together in order to combat the Horde. In order to keep more orcs from invading Azeroth, Lothar disapproves of the plan and believes that the portal should be destroyed. When Lothar mentions Callan, Medivh (in his human form) teleports to the meeting and starts to get on Lothar's nerves. For Lothar to calm down, Llane has him placed in a cell. Draka and their child, Go'el, whom Durotan had named, are secretly released by Orgrim after he realizes his mistake. Then Orgrim travels to release Durotan. Durotan is furious with his friend, but when he finds out that he allowed Draka and Go'el to flee, he is moved to pardon him. Llane and his troops advance into battle. Upon his return, Khadgar transforms a guard into a sheep and releases Lothar from his prison. Then Khadgar begins to use magic to devise a strategy for combating Medivh. Draka sends Go'el to safety by placing him in a basket and sending him down a river. As Go'el safely floats away, a second orc appears. Draka uses her teeth to rip the orc's throat out, but she is fatally impaled. In front of the rest of The Horde, Durotan challenges Gul'dan to a duel. Prior to the warlock using his magic to drain Durotan of his life force, much to the chagrin of the other orcs, Durotan and Gul'dan engage in combat with Durotan initially appearing to have the upper hand. The other orcs turn away from Gul'dan after he eventually kills Durotan. The green orcs who leave are killed by Gul'dan, who also forces the other orcs to remain by his side. Then he waits for Medivh to begin opening the portal while Gul'dan maintains it with the help of the life energy of other prisoners. The orcs begin to invade, and Llane and his army (to which Garona has now been added) start fighting them. While this is going on, Medivh summons his clay Golem to life, which attacks Lothar and Khadgar as they attempt to fight him. The Golem's body is still alive after Lothar successfully decapitates it. As the Golem transforms into stone, Khadgar uses a spell to knock it off of Medivh. Medivh is returned to normal after Khadgar casts the demon out of him, but he is still dying beneath the Golem. Medivh switches the portal from Azeroth to Stormwind as he draws his final breaths, releasing some of the prisoners. Lothar approaches the conflict on his Gryphon. Llane orders Garona to kill him after realizing they are unlikely to succeed in achieving their goal of bringing about orc and human peace. She would also be able to gain respect from The Horde. In order to stop Blackhand from striking, Garona reluctantly inserts her dagger into Llane's neck. As they carry Garona toward Gul'dan, who welcomes her into The Horde, the orcs applaud her. When Lothar arrives to make an attempt, he discovers Llane dead with Garona's dagger still lodged in his neck. As he tries to leave with Llane's body, the orcs pull the Gryphon down. Then Blackhand, who has grown stronger thanks to fel magic, is forced to fight Lothar. In retaliation for Callan's passing, Lothar impales Blackhand in two quick motions. Even though Lothar gains the orcs' respect, Gul'dan wants them to murder him. Garona warns him to stand back or else he will have to engage in combat with the other orcs as he tries to complete the task on his own. The body of Llane is then given to Lothar to transport. Until Khadgar enters the room, Lothar is left alone there. Lothar believes Garona purposefully deceived Llane after discovering the dagger Garona had stabbed Llane with that he had taken from his neck. Llane is buried in front of the entire kingdom. As Lothar will now be in charge of The Alliance, Taria pays tribute to her husband and calls him to the front of the room. Everyone assembles to support him. In the final scene, Go'el is still seen drifting downstream. There is the sound of Durotan saying that his son will take over as the new orc leader, possibly bringing about peace among them. Go'el growls at the man as he picks up the baby's basket.
