Wrath of the Titans movie explained

Zeus has been captured by his son Ares and brother Hades, who have released the ancient Titans upon the world. Perseus braves the perilous underworld to save his father. Perseus, the godly son of Zeus, is attempting to lead a more sedate existence as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year-old son Helius ten years after his valiant defeat of the monstrous Kraken. While this is happening, the gods and Titans are engaged in a power struggle. The gods are gravely weakened by humanity's lack of devotion and are rapidly losing control over the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon. Long ago, the triumvirate had deposed their powerful father, leaving him to rot in the dark dungeon of , deep within the vast underworld. When Hades and Zeus' godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramirez), switch allegiances and strike a deal with Kronos to kidnap Zeus, Perseus is forced to accept his true calling. Zeus' remaining divine abilities are stolen, and hell is let loose on earth, which increases the power of the Titans. In order to save mankind, overthrow the Titans, and rescue Zeus, Perseus bravely undertakes a perilous journey into the underworld with the aid of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon's demigod son Argenor and the fallen god a small village, Perseus and his son Helius work as fishermen. Zeus comes to Perseus one night and informs him that since people no longer pray to the gods, they are weaker. He claims that One long decade after his glorious victory in Clash of the Titans (2010), Perseus, the demigod who slayed the dreadful sea monster Kraken, is attempting to live a simple life with his only son Helius while in self-imposed exile. But as long as people continue to reject the gods and lose their ability to believe in them, Hades, the treacherous ruler of the Underworld, and Ares, the hateful god of war, plot to depose Zeus with the help of the Titan Kronos, who is imprisoned forever. Soon after, a war breaks out, forcing Perseus to join forces with the half-human son of Poseidon, Agenor, and the sword-wielding Princess Andromeda to once more defend the defenseless humans who are in danger of extinction. The unbreakable fortress of torment in the unfathomable abyss, Tartarus, is currently losing its impregnable walls. Is it possible for Perseus to stop Kronos the destroyer from appearing? underworld walls are coming down, all the demons will be let loose on Earth, and Kronos will be freed from prison. Zeus and Poseidon travel to the underworld to work with Aries and Hades, but they are betrayed, and Zeus is taken prisoner. Poseidon, who was mortally wounded but managed to escape, runs into Perseus in the Temple of Zeus. He gives Perseus his trident and tells him to meet his son and the demigod Agenor in the kingdom of Andromeda and ask them to help him locate the one who has fallen. They start their saga with Andromeda to free Zeus and stop Ares and Hades from freeing the extinct Titan Kronos.
