Nope movie explained

The Bible verse from Nahum 3:6 that introduces the movie is, "I will cast abominable filth upon you, make you vile and make you a spectacle. ". A bloody chimpanzee wandering around a disorganized sitcom set is the first thing that is visible. In due course, this will make sense. Otis Haywood Senior. and Otis Jr., his son. (also known as OJ) start their day by caring for the horses at their Hollywood ranch, Haywood's Hollywood Horses. Two hikers mysteriously vanished, according to a radio broadcast in the distance. Screams can be heard from above as the electricity abruptly fails and debris starts to fall from the sky. Through Otis Sr., a coin drops. 's eye, killing him. OJ unsuccessfully tries to get him to the hospital. OJ discovers a key impaled into one of the horses after returning to the ranch. Before zooming in to the first motion picture to feature a black man riding a horse, the opening credits and a green square are displayed. OJ waits for his sister Emerald (referred to as Em) on a movie set six months after the incident because one of their horses, Lucky, will be used in a commercial being shot by cinematographer Antlers Holst. Soon after, Emerald shows up and assists in explaining the safety measures of filming with Lucky. She also mentions that the black man riding the horse in the first movie is her and OJ's great-great-great grandfather. The horse retaliates violently as a result of the staff's disrespect for its boundaries and disregard for them. The Haywoods are fired from the project, and Lucky is replaced by a VFX horse. As the ranch is having financial difficulties, the Haywoods decide to sell Lucky, the ranch's eleventh horse, to Ricky "Jupe" Park, a former child actor and owner of the Western-themed amusement park Jupiter's Claim. Jupe describes a traumatic incident from his early acting career, when a chimpanzee actor went crazy on the set of the sitcom Gordy's Home, in an SNL sketch during the meeting. Em later urges OJ to accept Jupe's offer to purchase the Haywood ranch. Em tells OJ later that night how Otis Sr. Despite the fact that the horse would ultimately be used for a film that used another animal in the end, she had promised Em that she would train her first horse, Jean Jacket. Em notices that Ghost, another one of their horses, has unexplainably appeared in the arena. Beginning at this point, the movie is broken up into chapters, with each chapter's title referencing an animal from the movie. GHOST is the name of this chapter. When OJ visits the arena, he encounters Ghost there. He suddenly hears a voice playing on the speakers and notices several lights in the distance. As the voice and lights gradually fade away, Ghost leaves the arena. While the other horses behave violently inside the ranch, OJ discovers Ghost running away from the property and disappearing. OJ notices a flying saucer in the sky as the Haywood house's electricity briefly goes out. It sounds big and fast to Em, according to OJ. The following day, the two go to Fry's Electronics and buy a number of cameras with the intention of making a name for themselves with the footage. Employee Angel Torres tells them that he will assist them in setting up the cameras and speculates that the Haywoods may be located in a UFO hotspot. Later, he makes a trip to the ranch to do so, sharing his thoughts on extraterrestrials along the way. After a brief absence, Em returns carrying a display horse that was taken from Jupiter's Claim and is intended to be used as bait. Later, Jupe shows up at the ranch to question Em about the show horse, but Em manages to get away with it thanks to her bluff. Jupe tries to send the Haywoods a flyer inviting them to an event, but the wind blows it away. Then he departs. The cameras and the dummy horse are set up that evening. OJ discovers that Clover, a different horse, has been let out. Then he runs into what appear to be several aliens. OJ punches one of them in the face after snatching it from behind, only to discover that it was a child. When Jupe steals their decoy horse, the aliens turn out to be his kids taunting him. Later, OJ tries to locate Clover, but the UFO shows up, sucks up the dummy horse, which becomes stuck, and sends Clover fleeing. When Angel informs Em that the UFO is in the clouds while keeping a close eye on their cameras at Fry's, Em orders OJ to run. OJ escapes unharmed but sees Clover being sucked up along with it. They are unable to obtain the necessary footage because a praying mantis obscured the view of a camera that remained operational and was unaffected by the UFO. Em tells OJ that they need to leave, but he convinces her to stay and carry out the plan by saying that there is more going on here than they realize. The following day, Angel shows up at the ranch once more and explains that he went back through their footage and discovered a cloud that never changes, which might be the UFO's lair. Antlers rejects Em's attempts to persuade him to join them, saying that they would never awaken from their dream of fame. If it's not a ship, OJ wonders. GORDY is the name of this chapter. The year is 1998. Gordy's Birthday is an episode of the sitcom Gordy's Home in which Young Jupe and his fellow performers appear. In a scene where balloons are released into the space, the balloons begin to pop, startling the chimpanzee who is Gordy and causing him to lose control and attack the human actors. Watching as Mary Jo Elliot and Tom Bogan, two of his co-stars, are attacked by the chimpanzee, who then calms down, Jupe hides under a table and notices a shoe standing up on its own (which he would later display). Jupe is approached by the chimpanzee, who asks him in sign language what happened to the family after spotting him. The chimp extends his hand for the two of them to perform the famous fist bump, but the chimp is shot dead before their fists can actually touch. Jupe considers the massacre as she is back in the present. His wife, Amber, encourages him to practice for an upcoming performance and assists him with memorizing his lines. LUCKY is the name of this chapter. OJ discovers Jupe's flyer announcing the Star Lasso Experience as Angel prepares tarps for an impending storm. He goes to Jupiter's Claim to retrieve Lucky after assuming that this might involve Lucky. Star Lasso Experience is just getting going right now. Jupe tells the audience about a time when he saw a UFO, promising that they will leave having experienced something new. The UFO shows up before schedule. Jupe pulls out a glass box with Lucky inside that is intended to be sucked up for the performance. Mary Jo Elliot, whose face has been scarred from the Gordy incident, is in the audience when Lucky refuses to leave the box and the UFO appears above them. The audience can be seen being sucked up by the UFO in the shadows behind Jupe as the camera focuses on his shocked expression. The green square from the opening credits serves as the alien's eye, which is revealed to be inside the UFO, which is itself an alien. As a result, the alien consumes Jupe, his family, and the audience while screams and the crunching of bones can be heard in the background. Before the alien comes back to try to suck him up and is knocked out by the arena's bleachers, OJ finds Lucky at the deserted Jupiter's Claim. After waking up at night and discovering Lucky unharmed, he loads the horse into his truck and heads for the ranch. While Angel is about to leave the ranch, he calls Em and warns her that the UFO is actually a predatory alien that views the ranch and the area around it as its territory. To the horror of Em and Angel, the alien descends from above the Haywood residence and hurls blood and debris. OJ arrives at the house, but the alien shuts off his truck before he can get there, and he spits out the dummy horse from above the truck. The alien returns the following morning, and OJ convinces Em and Angel to leave in Angel's truck. OJ avoids looking at the alien because he is reminded of the earlier incident with Lucky on the commercial set, and he makes it through the encounter unscathed. The group successfully escapes and arrives at Angel's apartment. OJ explains that evening over dinner that when people look at the alien, it feels challenged and goes on to eat them. Antlers decides to join OJ, Em, and Angel after hearing a news report about the audience of the Star Lasso Experience going missing. The group starts making plans after he visits their home the following day. The group will use tube man props to figure out where the alien is, Em will use cameras to monitor the area, and OJ will bait Jean Jacket. Antlers will also bring a hand-cranked camera that won't be disabled by the alien, who is now known as Jean Jacket. JEAN JACKET is the name of this chapter. The plan is implemented the following day. Jean Jacket disables it, but Ryder Muybridge, a TMZ reporter, trespasses and falls off his motorcycle. When Jean Jacket shows up, OJ is compelled to abandon Ryder to perish despite his best efforts. In order to help Antlers get video, OJ successfully lures the alien. Antlers, however, decides that the world doesn't deserve the footage, and he lets himself be killed by Jean Jacket, destroying the footage in the process. It begins to unfold into a massive jellyfish-like form after Em and Angel escape Jean Jacket's attacks. Em and OJ exchange salutes before the former drives towards Jupiter's Claim on Ryder's motorcycle and the latter lures Jean Jacket away. When Em gets to Jupiter's Claim, she untethers the park's enormous balloon mascot and uses the analog camera attraction Winkin' Well to take a picture of Jean Jacket devouring the balloon mascot. After shouting in victory, the balloon and Jean Jacket explode, and Em finds a place to rest close Em gets to her feet as reporters start to arrive, closes her eyes, and then opens them to see OJ riding Lucky emerge from the mist. A shot of Jean Jacket's portrait appears as the movie comes to a close.
